Our Mission

The mission of the Birmingham Karate Open is to provide young adult karate practitioners with an accessible and inclusive event to showcase their skills, foster sportsmanship, and promote the growth of karate in the region.
We are committed to creating a welcoming environment for competitors of all skill levels, encouraging camaraderie and mutual respect among participants. Through our annual tournament, we aim to inspire the next generation of karate practitioners and contribute to the development of the sport in our community.
Our vision is to establish the Birmingham Karate Open as a must-attend event in the karate calendar, known for its high standards of competition, excellent organization, and positive impact on the karate community.
Birmingham's position in the West Midlands allows it to be easily accessible for competitors from across the UK.
Its time of year, November, was specifically chosen as it provides an opportunity for competitors to test themselves early in the year and prepare for other major events later in the season.
